L F Research was founded to help companies compete. We believe, that to do this effectively companies need access to superior capabilities.  For this reason, L F Research has assembled an EMC engineering facility specifically for client use. This capability is available to L F Research Club members only on a first come first served basis. As of Oct 2006, the features of this lab are:

Two Engineering Workstations
Two identical workstations equipped with rudimentary static mats, lights, stools, hand tools and supplies. Shared resources include Metcal soldering and de-soldering stations, boom microscope with digital camera attached, extensive EMC control components, a technical library and high speed internet connection.

The workstations are provided to aid making on the fly changes when problems arise during testing.

Circuit simulation and PWB layout software workstation
L F Research maintains the current version of  Microsim circuit simulation and the Utiliboard PWB layout packages.

Pre-Compliance test capability
Test standards change occasionally. L F Research maintains compliant equipment for the test lab, but has retained some capability to aid designers harden their own designs. The test capability includes EMScan, ESD, conducted emissions, limited radiated emissions and electrical fast transients.
