EMC Testing Capabilities

LFR is a full engineering company with the resources to perform most commercial tests. The markets we currently support are White goods ( CE Mark and FCC ), Aerospace ( DO160 and MIL STD 461 and Def Stan 5941 ) and Automotive ( GM, Ford, DCM )

White Goods
LFR has the capability to perform most White Goods EMC tests. Please note, that at this time, we DO NOT have A2LA or FCC approvals.. We also prepare the associated test documentation such as EMC Control Plans, Test Procedures and Test Reports. The test we most often perform are:

  • EN 61000-4-2 Electrostatic Discharge
  • EN 61000-4-3 Radiated Immunity
  • EN 61000-4-4 Electrical Fast Transients
  • EN 61000-4-5 Surge
  • EN 61000-4-6 Conducted Immunity
  • EN 61000-4-8 Magnetic Fields
  • EN 61000-4-11 Voltage Dips and Interrupts
  • EN 61000-3-2 Harmonics
  • EN 61000-3-3 Flicker
  • EN 55011/13/20/22 Radiated and Conducted Emissions
  • FCC Part 15 using ANSI C63.4

Aerospace EMC
LFR has the capability to perform most Aerospace EMC tests with the exception of External HIRF, and Full strike Lightning. We also prepare the associated test documentation such as EMC Control Plans, Test Procedures and Test Reports. The test we most often perform are:

RTCA DO160C, D & E

  • Section 15 Magnetic Effect
  • Section 16 Power Input
  • Section 17 Voltage Spike
  • Section 18 Audio Frequency Conducted Susceptibility - Power Inputs
  • Section 19 Induced Signal Susceptibility
  • Section 20 Radio Frequency Susceptibility ( Radiated and Conducted )
  • Section 21 Emission of Radio Frequency Energy
  • Section 22 Lightning Induced Transient Susceptibility
  • Section 25 Electrostatic Discharge

MIL STD 461 A, C, D, E and F

  • Conducted Emissions 20 Hz to 400 MHz
  • Radiated Emissions 20 Hz to 18 GHz
  • Conducted Susceptibility 10 Hz to 400 MHz
  • Radiated Susceptibility 10 kHz to 18 GHz in excess of 200 v/m

Automotive

LFR has the capability to perform most Automotive EMC tests. Please note, that at this time, we DO NOT have any approvals from the BIG 3.. We also prepare the associated test documentation such as EMC Control Plans, Test Procedures and Test Reports. The test we most often perform are:

  • GM
  • Ford
  • Daimler Chrysler
